These technically are not “senior” pictures because Katherine is no longer in high school. She is a sophomore at Virginia Tech. I took these pictures of Katherine one cold and snowy day at Tech. Isn’t she pretty…?!

I don’t always take pictures of people or pets. In December, I was asked to take some jury shots for a friend I met at the Christmas Arts & Crafts Show in Jonesborough. His name is Brian Mace, and I think his work is really unique. He makes “yard art” out of scrap metal, and it’s really neat stuff! Just for fun, I thought I would post a few of the pictures here…

I had a really interesting series of shoots in November for Paulette, who has seven…. yes, seven cats. It was really a lot of fun getting pictures of all of them. There was one hold-out, Aiden, who did a good job of hiding from us. So, it took a couple of visits before I was able to get pictures of Aiden, too. Paulette’s favorite cat is Wesley. This first picture is him…

Here are the pictures I took of the rest of the cats for their Christmas stockings…

Here’s a final shot I got of Paulette with her favorite cat, Wesley. This was really an enjoyable project!

These two miniature schnauzers were a lot of fun. Scooter was pretty camera-shy at the beginning of our session, but he warmed up after awhile. These little guys are named Snoop and Scooter, and they are from Johnson City.

I had a photo shoot in Big Stone Gap, Virginia,
in mid-November, the purpose of which was to capture a picture for a family Christmas card. I took several pictures around the family’s fireplace, and even outside around a blue spruce tree that was planted a few years ago in memory of Sharon’s dad. Of all the pictures, this is the one that ended up being used on the card.
